I get it.

Look at it from Qantas’s point of view. On its home turf any 100 per cent foreign owned airline can set up shop in Australia’s domestic market – unlike (with the exception of New Zealand) almost any other advanced economy in the world. And when those foreign backed airlines have access to deep financial pockets, they have the power to inflict on Qantas deep financial pain.
