The first Airbus A340-541 for Singapore Airlines, 9V-SGA, arrived at Changi on January 2, the first of 10 ordered.
The aircraft is planned to enter service on February 3 on the longest nonstop commercial service in the world from Singapore to Los Angeles over 14,639km (7,900nm) with an outbound flight time of 16 hours and return journey of 18.
