Air New Zealand’s CEO on “flying people, not planes”

Air New Zealand is doing a lot right at the moment. Among the major airlines in Australasia, it is the standout performer.

Certainly financially – it is posting record profits when Qantas and Virgin have sunk deep into the red. But the Kiwi flag carrier also stands out in areas not so easily measured – it has a culture of innovation, high levels of staff engagement, it has loyal passengers and occupies a special place in the New Zealand national psyche.
