Qantas withdrew 747-438 VH‑OJL from service in Los Angeles on May 26 after the aircraft operated QF107 from Sydney. The following day as QF6024 VH-OJL was ferried from Los Angeles to Victorville where it was placed in storage.
VH-OJL City of Ballaarat was originally delivered to Qantas in Sydney on July 26 ’91 after it arrived from Vancouver as QF531.
