Issue 295: Dream Tour
Owen Zupp and 10 AA readers tour the 787
Boeing’s 787 “Dream Tour” had a five-day stay in Sydney in late May during which selected guests of Boeing and 787 customers Qantas and Jetstar had a chance to tour the long-awaited aircraft.
The third 787 to be built, ZA003 arrived in Sydney on May 24, kicking off the seventh and final leg of the aircraft’s world tour. After departing for Auckland to visit Air New Zealand on May 29, it returned to Australia with a tech stop in Darwin on May 31 before leaving for Uzbekistan.
Ten lucky Australian Aviation readers had a chance to take a free guided tour of the revolutionary jetliner during its visit to Sydney on May 28. Hosted by Boeing, the tour included a look at all areas of the aircraft and the chance to talk to test pilots and crew.
