A380 matures as 747-8I arrives
With Singapore Airlines’ last 747-400 passenger flight earlier this year and Malaysia Airlines and Thai International’s first A380s about to enter service, momentum is building for the A380.
In 2011, Airbus secured orders for 29 A380s with Asiana, signing for six and Skymark for six, with Hong Kong Airlines completing a purchase agreement for 10. Added to these, Qatar place a re-order for five and Lufthansa two more.
