A350, 787 take passenger comfort to a new level

The ‘pitch’ battle for hearts and minds is moving from seat mile costs and fuel burn to wider seats and thus more comfort.

Airbus is fighting the “mine is wider than yours” battle on two fronts — widebody and narrow-body — claiming its A350 will be far more comfortable than the 787 or 777 because it is sized perfectly for a nine-across only configuration.
