Issue 283: A New Virgin
Virgin Australia says goodbye Blue
Almost 12 months to the day after taking the reigns as CEO, a beaming John Borghetti proudly unveiled his rebranded airline, Virgin Australia – Virgin Blue reborn.
The first two aircraft painted in the airline’s new livery, Boeing 737-800 VH-VFC (named ‘Bondi Beach’) and Airbus A330-200 VH-XFB (‘Cable Beach’), touching down at Sydney Airport just after 9am on May, the 737 flying in from Christchurch, and the A330 from Kuala Lumpur, where their new Virgin Australia liveries had been applied.
