Positive outlook for Australia’s helicopter industry
‘Cautiously optimistic’ would be one way of describing the Australian helicopter industry as it slowly recovers from a tough few years in the post-GFC world.
Since 2008’s credit crunch, it is no secret that major helicopter distributors and maintenance providers in Australia have seen a drop off in private and commercial sales, as operators look to consolidate and rationalise their expenditures. However, almost two years on from Australian Aviation’s last overview of the helicopter industry, a renewed sense of commercial interest in the market has a number of industry players optimistic about the years ahead.
