Vietjet, which has reportedly been making moves towards establishing a domestic Australian subsidiary, is being chased by creditor FitzWalter Aviation over around $360 million in debt on four Airbus A320 aircraft, dating back to 2021.
The international Rayleigh Lounge – named after Rayleigh scattering, which gives the Blue Mountains their distinctive colour – will be operated by dnata and will open alongside the launch of Singapore Airlines services on 23 November.
VH-XF7 arrived in Australia at the end of September and began services to WSI last week, having previously flown with China Southern Airlines as B-6307. According to Qantas, it and the two more A321P2Fs on the way will add up to 20 per cent capacity to the airline’s dedicated freighter network.

Joshua Wander, whose investment firm had bankrolled low-cost carrier Bonza before abruptly pulling funding, causing the airline’s collapse, has admitted to one count of wire fraud and securities fraud, each of which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
The show, held at the Sacheon Air Base, attracts audiences of around 1 million per day, and will take place from 22 October to 25 October. It will include solo aerobatic performances by Bennet in his Wolf Pitts FX, as well as military displays such as South Korea’s Black Eagles.
Launching this month with 40 cabin crew, the base is planned to expand to 90 local roles as Jetstar looks to expand its flights from Perth, including the new Christchurch service to launch on 27 October; Jetstar is also planning to increase Perth–Melbourne flights over the summer peak.
