• The service career of the Vulcan came to an end on March 31 when the last operational Vulcan squadron, No 50 based at Waddington, was disbanded.

• The RNZAF’s nine McDonnell Douglas A-4K and three TA-4K Skyhawks will have their service lives extended until at least the end of the decade by undergoing structural, avionics and weaponry systems upgrades.
