Caa Convenes Conference on Ex Military Aircraft Operations

The Australian Warbird movement has seen remarkable growth over recent years and now numbers several hundred aircraft involving some 45 different types.

Recognising that the activities of ex military aircraft enthu- siasts have now exceeded all earlier expectations, the CAA in a timely move, recently convened a one day conference in Canberra for interested groups to discuss the future regulation of the operation of such aircraft.

In addition to representatives from the movement, attendees included regulators and administrators, both from CAA head-quarters and field offices, engineers, pilots and accident investigators.
