Bright future for Australia’s helicopter industry
Australia has over 2,000 helicopters on the register. That makes us the sixth largest civil helicopter fleet in the world. On a per capita basis Australia has more helicopters than the USA,” notes Peter Crook, president of the recently-established Australian Helicopter Industry Association (AHIA).
Crook’s summary reasons why the Australian helicopter industry is feeling optimistic. In February, the number of registered helicopters stood at 2,030, that number the product of some 16. 6 per cent growth during 2012.
