Super Super?
Boeing’s Super Hornet grows with next gen upgrades
A stealthier, longer ranging, and more powerful F/A-18E/F Super Hornet armed with a host of next generation capabilities may be a future possibility for the RAAF, with Boeing offering a preview of its Super Hornet International Roadmap during last month’s Avalon’s Airshow.
From the initial Block 1 variant developed in the 1990s to the success of the more advanced Block II model currently in production and entering service with both the US Navy and RAAF, Boeing hasn’t been resting on its laurels. The company has continued to develop its Super Hornet program, no doubt keen to attract more potential international customers to the fighter.
