Teams line up for Air 9000 Phase 7

Three new teaming announcements for the ADF’s Air 9000 Phase 7 Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) requirement were revealed at the Avalon Airshow.

The HATS requirement will see Army Bell 206B Kiowas and Navy AS350BA Squirrel (pictured above) training helicopters replaced with a joint service training capability operating new platforms and facilities at Nowra on the NSW south coast, with a deep level of industry involvement – from provision of courseware and ground instructors to maintenance and aircraft and simulator management – expected.
