Flight Watch
Many Years Ago I Was Flying in Remote Outback Australia, Up in the Torres Strait and Into Parts of Png, When We Started Losing Our Flight Service Units.
It Was a Matter of Course That You Became Friendly With the Voices on the Other End of the Flight Service Radio. When You Visited the Flight Service Units in Person to Pick Up Your Pfibs (Pre-flight Information Bulletins) You Stayed for a While Chatting to the Guys on the Other Side of the Counter. Quite Often You Would Be Invited in to Have a Look at the Weather Radar or Just to Have a Talk to One of the Flight Service Guys Who May Have Been Going to Be on in the Area That You Would Soon Be Flying to.
