Cessna has successfully completed the wing mate on the Citation Latitude first test aircraft. Announced at the National Business Aviation Association’s Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (NBAA) in October 2011, the nine-seat medium-size business jet will offer a trans-continental range and a cruise altitude of 43,000ft. Cessna has successfully flown the first production example of its newest business jet, the Citation M2. During the almost two-hour flight, the M2 climbed to an altitude of 17,500ft and underwent a series of tests including the Garmin 3000 avionics suite. Fractional ownership operator Flexjet has experienced a surge in demand that is seeing it accelerate its pilot intake. Before the end of the year, the company plans to add another 20 pilots to its ranks as it takes delivery of a new generation of Learjet aircraft from late this year as the launch customer for
