Qantas/Australian Fleet Interchange

Another stage in the takeover of Australian Airlines by Qantas was reached on 29/03 when the two airlines commenced an interchange of fleet units on a scheduled basis. On that day Qantas Boeing 767-238ER VH-EAM operated Australian flights TN530/461/42/45 from Sydney to Coolangatta and return and from Sydney to Perth and return, while Qantas Boeing 767-238ER VH-EAL operated TN8 from Sydney to Perth. In turn Australian Boeing 737-476 VH-TJK operated QF21/22 from and to the International terminals in Melbourne and Sydney.
