The Fairchild (Swearingen) Metroliner is presently enjoying its most popular time ever with operators in Australia and New Zealand.

This resurgance is quite remarkable when you consider that the forerunner of the Metroliner, the Merlin IV (VH-CFO) was first introduced to Australia in 05/75 and that the first Metro II (VH-SWN) arrived in 09/78.
