There goes a saying that flying is hours of boredom sprinkled with a few seconds of sheer terror. That sentiment seems all the more relevant on a global scale as we quickly moved from a ‘normal’ level of uncertainty for which we have plans and systems in place to cope, to large scale disruption requiring a diverse range of unanticipated responses.
