WANT TO BUY A P-40 REBUILD PROJECT? 

Courtesy Aircraft Sales currently has for sale two local P-40 rebuild projects. The aircraft are listed as 42-105472 and 42-105744. 42-105472 is listed in the Geoff Goodall Warbirds Directory as being owned by Bruno Carnival. Both projects are understood to be located just to the north-east of Melbourne. The description in the Courtesy information sheets lists part restored aircraft plus many new or overhauled parts for sale for both aircraft. The two projects together are billed for sale at $895,000. Both aircraft are reported to be combat veterans. One Allison V-1710 engine is to go with the sale. 

AUS AIRCRAFT TO NEW ZEALAND 

With the closing of the Bankstownbased Australian Aviation Museum, the fate of a number of the aircraft and artefacts there remained in doubt. Then from the shadows a white knight appeared in the form of New Zealander Jason Rhodes. Rhodes is the owner of the Wanaka Transport and Toy Museum. Over an extended period, he managed to obtain and export to Wanaka some 10 former Australian aircraft. These included a DH Vampire, a Sikorsky S-55 Helicopter and a circular home built. Another aircraft that generated more than a bit of interest was a MIG-15 fighter aircraft.
