Minister for Defence Industry Pat Conroy confirmed the arrival of the airborne intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and electronic warfare aircraft earlier today in a public statement. A previous aircraft arrived in Australia during January this year.

Around 12 per cent of trans-Tasman Jetstar flights for May, including services from Auckland to Sydney and Brisbane, as well as domestic Jetstar NZ flights on routes such as Auckland–Christchurch and Auckland–Wellington, have been impacted by the changes.

Flight JQ87 from Denpasar arrived in Maroochydore at 8:15am on Wednesday aboard VH-OYW, departing for the return JQ86 service at 10:20am. Flights will operate three times per week on 232-seat A321neo LR aircraft, adding more than 70,000 seats per year.

The late-night flights, operated by 303-seat A350-900 aircraft, will depart WSI at 11:55pm, arriving in Singapore at 5am the following morning, before leaving Singapore at 11:30am to touch down in Western Sydney at 10:20pm. Services will commence from 23 November.
