In October 1.3 million passengers passed through the international terminal, representing a 90.3 per cent recovery on October 2019. In the 2023 year to date, Sydney has seen 11.79 million international passengers, compared to 6.1 million at the same point in 2022.
The event on Tuesday was part of the launch of UNSW’s new bachelor of aviation majoring in Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS), which combines theory with a practical component facilitated by SLS NSW’s Australian Uncrewed Aerial Vehicle Service (AUAVS).
The route, operated daily by 180-seat A320-200 aircraft, will commence in March 2024, complementing AirAsia X’s existing A330 service. Malaysia Airlines and Batik Air Malaysia also offer connections between Perth and Kuala Lumpur.
