Md-95 Final Assembly Subcontracted McDonnell Douglas has subcontracted final assembly of the forthcoming MD-95 airliner to Texas based maintenance and modification company Dalfort Aviation, an unprecedented move in recent times. An assembly line will be established at Dalfort’s facility at Dallas and when fully operational will be capable of delivering one MD-95 each week. MDC
Rolls-Royce Buys Allison Rolls-Royce has agreed to purchase the Allison engine company from finance house Clayton, Dubilier and Rice for $US525m on a debt free basis. Rolls-Royce intends making an equity issue to finance the purchase, with settlement not expected for three or four months while approval for the deal from US authorities is obtained.
