A Flinders University study, conducted in collaboration with Sea World on the Gold Coast, demonstrated how drones can be used to assess the health of marine mammals without requiring hands-on methods like tagging devices, or taking measurements during capture and handling.

NSW Police Aviation Command (POL AIR) has stationed two drones in Moree, to be remotely operated from Bankstown Airport, for proactive aerial surveillance. The six-month trial will see the drones used as “eyes in the skies” to assist first-response police officers.
