Buses will run every 30 minutes between 4:30am to midnight Sunday to Thursday and 4:30am to 1am Friday and Saturday when the airport opens its doors later this year, with the trip between WSI and St Marys expected to take 30 minutes in “normal traffic”.
More than 435 potential child sex offenders have allegedly been stopped at airports around the country between 1 January this year and 31 December 2025, according to an ABF statement published this week.
Total passenger numbers were up 5.3 per cent on the 2024 calendar year, while December was also Brisbane’s busiest month on record, with 2.3 million passengers. International passengers were up 10.7 per cent on 2024, with domestic up 3.2 per cent.

Several flights on Tuesday morning were delayed, including Qantas, Korean Airlines and Singapore Airlines services, and hundreds of passengers were moved outside in a “precautionary evacuation” after smoke from the air conditioning unit tripped fire alarms.
