In light of the news of the Grand Prix’s cancellation, AMDA Foundation - the organisers of AVALON - have confirmed the event will continue as planned, assuming public health advice in Victoria at that time does not impede.
However, the event has said the uncertainty around international travel means it will focus on aircraft available within the country.
Chief Executive Ian Honnery said the new dates would provide “certainty” for sponsors, exhibitors and participants.
Next year’s AVALON airshow is being postponed from 23 February to a later date, likely to be in November.
