A US soldier was the first warfighter to execute real-world military mission exercises, using Lockheed Martin Sikorsky’s autonomous optionally piloted Black Hawk helicopter, powered by Matrix Technology.

Senior strategy and logistics representatives from Australia, the US, Canada, the UK, and New Zealand attended the Five Eyes (FVEYS) A4 Collaboration Forum in the Northern Territory last month.

Reflecting the government’s stated commitment to deliver a “modern, fair, and resilient aviation sector”, Transport Minister Catherine King, speaking at the event, said it is important for the government to work with the opposition to provide all Australians with a reliable, efficient aviation industry.

In partnership with Griffith University and RMIT University, the classes, beginning in January next year, will initially offer four micro-credentials, with an additional eight courses coming in 2026 following feedback from the first student intake.

A RAAF C-17A Globemaster III dropped the supplies to Casey Station, 3,880 kilometres south of Perth, to the active personnel who are part of research operations. Supplies included fresh food, life support stock, and scientific equipment used as a part of the Million Year Ice Core project.

Under Operation Kudu, the early warning and control aircraft, deployed in July, had operated out of Poland to support NATO in providing surveillance, communications, and early warning alerts to protect supply delivery lines into Ukraine.
