KLM Cityhopper signs contract for five more E-Jets

KLM regional subsidiary KLM Cityhopper has converted options for five more E-190 jets into firm orders.

Deliveries of the new E-190s are expected to begin in the first half of 2012, with KLM Cityhopper retaining options for two more jets from Embraer.

The Dutch airline currently operates 17 E-190s on its regional European routes, configured in a 100 seat, dual-class layout.
