It has been reported that Cessna will remove several models from its 1986 production. These will be the Citation I, Model 340, Stationair 8, Turbo Stationair, Turbo Skylane, Cutlass and Model 152 Aerobat. In addition, it is likely that there will be an indefinite suspension of production of the Model 152, Cutlass RG, Model 195 Skywagon, Ag Truck, Ag Husky and Model 421 Golden Eagle.

On August 20 the USAF awarded Rockwell International $8 billion in multiyear funding for the final 82 B-1B bombers. Delivery of the final B-1B is set for April 1988.
