Most obvious external changes from the 125-700is the new windscreen, the slimmer dorsal fin, the absence of the traditional 125 ventral strake, longer engine nacelles and the re-profiled and extended wing. Production aircraft will also not carry the wing fences shown in the development aircraft above.

BAe 125-800 Looks Set To Become the Best of the Breed

‘We’re on the warpath, and now we have the vehicle that more than equals any of our competitors. ‘ Fighting words from British Aerospace’s Australian 125 sales chief, John Canning-Cooke.

John claims, with a high degree of truth on his side, that the British have traditionally been too placid in their marketing approach to this part of the world. The result is that while Australian companies have in the past decade purchased a score of Lears, Citations, Westwinds Falcons there are currently only two BAe 125 jets on the local Register. BAe hope to change all that with their latest offspring, the Dash 800.
