No Airshow 84:

Due to a number of reasons we will not be producing our GA annual, Airshow 84, this year. However, noting the popularity of the DofA Australian Aircraft Register which was the backbone of Airshow 83, we have decided to include the updated and vastly improved Register in a big, bumper 136-page March edition of Australian Aviation. The Department tells us that some of the minor glitches that appeared in our last Register will be exorcised from their computer by the time we go to press. So if you want an easy-to-reference Register, then get our 136-page March issue, on sale in early March.

Aviation Groups boosted in Budget:

The August federal budget provided a healthy boost for a number of specialist aviation groups. In all, $110,000 is being split between the SAAA, the Australian Parachuting Federation, the General Aviation Association, the Gliding Federation of Australia and the Royal Federation of Aero Clubs. Last year only $66,000 was split between the three latter organisations.
