Auto Engines For Aviation

About 50 years ago a chap by the name of Pietenpol successfully used a Ford Model A engine in an aeroplane. It wasn’t terribly efficient and was far too heavy but he proved it could be done. Since then the price of aircraft engines has been steadily on the increase until today they are the primary reason for the soaring cost of light aircraft.
