Squadron Leader Bob Iveson (36), Flight Commander in No. 1 (F) Squadron, RAF Wittering, Northants, is married and has a son and daughter. Along with other pilots of No. 1 (F) Squadron, he was deployed to the Falklands to operate with their Harrier GR3s primarily in ground attack fire support for land-based military operations in the campaign.

By the Easter weekend, 1982, It became apparent that our services would be required. On Tuesday, April 13, I should have been in Canada with eight aircraft of No. 1 (F) Squadron, taking part in a major exercise there entitled Maple Flag 9, but I was taken out of the loop of pilots destined to go there.
