Cessna has added a 180 horsepower fixed-gear aircraft to its high single-engine product line and named it the Cutlass. The Cutlass fills the niche between the Skyhawk and the Cutlass RG Powered by a Lycoming 0-360-A4N engine, the Cutlass will cruise at 122 knots (140 mph), at 75 per cent power and 8500 feats, using only 10 gallons of fuel per hour The Cutlass' useful load of 1072 pounds will accommodate a full /FR avionics package, four 170 pound passengers, 45 pounds of baggage and full 50-gallon fuel tanks, which will yield a range of 475 nautical (547 statutes) miles with a 45-minute reserve An optional 62 gallon 'wet wing' fuel system can extend the range of the Cutlass to 620 nautical (714 statutes) miles
