Fascinated, we felt a silver wing come up almost maternally in dignified response to the urgings of the awesome wheel in front of us. AUSTRALIAN AVIATION’s Robert Bell said afterwards that it looked as though we were enjoying ourselves; that was the classic understatement of all time. The whole thing was a mixture of memories, nostalgia and sheer fun.
