Australia’s helicopter industry in the climb
The establishment of the Australian Helicopter Industry Association (AHIA) in November 2012 has given a voice back to local operators, pilots, distributors, manufacturers and suppliers as the rotary-wing industry continues to transition through a period of growth and the challenges of extensive regulatory change.
Since the disbandment of the Helicopter Association of Australia in 2008, the AHIA has had to regain the support, and trust, of an entire industry as it sets its sights on supporting anever-busy and valuable sector of Australian aviation.
