Babcock Australasia has officially opened its first Canberra office, located not far from Parliament House.
The defence, aviation and critical services firm has taken office space in Engineering House at 11 National Circuit, Barton, giving it easy access to government customers and industry stakeholders around Capital Hill. The office will support its recent winning high-frequency communications upgrade (JP9101) bid as well as corporate services.

“Our Canberra office opening signifies a coming of age for Babcock Australasia and is testament to our growth in the Australasia region,” said Babcock Australasia CEO David Ruff.

Babcock now has a location in every mainland state and territory, with offices in Adelaide, Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne, and sites at Henderson in WA, Darwin, and Townsville. The firm employs more than 1,600 staff around the country.
Babcock International group CEO David Lockwood said Australasia is key to the company’s global strategy.
“Australasia is one of Babcock’s fundamental growth engines. Our purpose is to create a safe and secure world, together and we will continue to play a key role in Australia to support peace and stability in the Indo Pacific region,” Lockwood said.
