Three new types are shown in the New Allocations this issue, if you count Donal McDonald’s Bristol Fighter replica IIZ as a new type – an original Bristol Fighter appeared on the civil register as G-AUEB between April 1923 and April 1928 when it crashed at Wau, New Guinea, while being operated by Bulolo Goldfields Aeroplane Services.
The Bristol F2 Fighter was a twoseat biplane built in England during the First World War for the Royal Flying Corps and often called the Brisfit or Biff. Even though it was a quite large two-seat aircraft it proved to be very nimble and performed well against opposing single-seat machines.
