Australia-based CubePilot, which supplies hardware and embedded software for the civilian unmanned systems industry, has warned its customers that some of its systems are offline while it investigates a “security incident”.
“We are currently investigating a security incident affecting certain CubePilot systems,” the company’s CEO, Philip Rowse, shared in a post to LinkedIn.
“As a precaution, the ERP portal (erp.cubepilot.org) has been taken offline and is returning an error.
“Do not attempt to log in or access any CubePilot services that require authentication at this time.”
Rowse said the company’s website remains up for those seeking general information, and that his company is “working closely with the relevant Australian and other authorities”, including, Australian Aviation understands, the Australian government, and that further updates will be shared “when it is safe and appropriate to do so”.
“If you have an urgent operational requirement, please contact your usual CubePilot account manager or support channel by the alternate methods already provided to authorised users.”
While most of the company’s website is operational, some sections appear to be down or less than fully functional.
CubePilot has said it is not ready to share any further information at this point, and as of publication, no threat actor has claimed responsibility for the incident.
CubePilot is based in Norlane, Victoria, and provides several hardware and software components for unmanned systems, including the Cube Red dual autopilot system and Cube Orange+, which the company describes as the “world’s most advanced autopilot for open autonomous unmanned vehicles”.
Cube Orange+ supports fixed-wing, VTOL, submarine, boat, multicopter, and rover systems.
While CubePilot’s systems are largely focused on civilian operations, the company is also a proud supporter of Ukraine.
“We will continue to supply Ukraine with whatever it takes to free their lands of the aggressors,” the company said in a LinkedIn post in July 2026.
“We are proud to supply the guidance systems that punish the perpetrators of this horrific crime.”
