Avalon’s WW1 flavour
No fewer than 15 World War 1 aircraft types were among the stars of the Australian International Airshow at Avalon, a fitting tribute to the centenary of the Great War and in keeping with the Airshow’s theme of ‘Heroes of the Skies’.
Ten came from New Zealand and three from Queensland. The New Zealand aircraft were from the Peter Jackson stable of The Vintage Aviator Ltd (TVAL) while three came from the Queensland-based The Australian Vintage Aviation Society (TAVAS).
