737‑476 VH‑TJZ was withdrawn from Qantas service on October 16 after operating QF678 from Adelaide to Melbourne. Its Qantas titles and kangaroo were removed before it ferried out of Melbourne on October 21 as QF6027 for Sydney, Apia, Honolulu and Victorville, California.

VH‑TJZ Integrity was delivered to Qantas in Melbourne on November 12 ’96 after it ferried in from Boeing Field via Honolulu, Apia and Nadi as QF6904. It entered service on November 19 when it operated QF628 Melbourne‑Brisbane. VH‑TJZ’s departure reduces the Qantas 737‑400 fleet to four aircraft – VH‑TJI, VH‑TJR, VH‑TJS and VH‑TJX.

737‑476 VH‑TJF, which departed Melbourne on November 19 ’11 for storage at Victorville, was cancelled from the register on September 23 after being sold in the US as N431AG.

737‑476 VH‑TJY, which departed Melbourne on July 29 for storage at Victorville (Traffic/September), was cancelled from the register on November 1 after being sold in the US as N281AG.

737‑838 VH‑XZK msn 39366 was planned for delivery to Qantas inearly December.

737‑838 VH‑VXG, which carried Bring it on titles, had these removed at Melbourne on October 5.

767‑336ER VH‑ZXG was withdrawn from Qantas service on October 30 after operating QF460 from Melbourne to Sydney.

767‑338ER(SF) N364CM, which is the former VH‑OGE, arrived at Cincinnati on February 11 ’13 after completing its freighter conversion in Tel Aviv. N364CM has since settled down to operations with ABX Air between North Kentucky International and Los Angeles and between North Kentucky International and New York/JFK. As the photo above shows the aircraft still retains its basic Qantas colours while being operated by ABX Air.

747‑48E VH‑OEB has operated a Captain’s Choice tour as QF6034, departing Sydney on October 13.

The aircraft visited Phenom Penh, Mandalay, New Delhi, Amman, Addis Ababa, Kilimanjaro and the Seychelles before returning to Sydney on November 1.

QantasLink took delivery of 717‑2BL N917ME msn 55179 in Adelaide on October 31 after the aircraft ferried in from Cebu and Darwin as SXA1072. The ferry flight, which was contracted to Southern Cross International, originated at Cecil Field, Florida on October 27 with the aircraft initially routing via Billings, Montana, Anchorage and Sokol. N917ME was due be registered VH‑YQT by the time this is read.

717‑2BL N927ME msn 55193, which is the prospective VH‑YQV, was removed from storage at Victorville before being ferried to Cecil Field on October 31.

717‑200 VH‑NXG departed Perth on October 22 for Alice Springs and Townsville (arriving October 23) where it entered the Flying Colours hangar for a repaint.

Dash 8‑Q402 VH‑LQM, which was delivered to Brisbane on September 20 (Traffic/November), entered service on October 18 when it operated QF2558 from Brisbane to Roma.

Jetstar took delivery of A320‑232/S VH‑VFT msn 5532 in Melbourne on October 13 after it ferried in from Toulouse via Abu Dhabi and Singapore as JQ7992.

A320‑232/S VH‑VFU msn 5814 was delivered to Jetstar in Melbourne on October 29 after it completed its ferry flight from Toulouse via Abu Dhabi and Singapore as JQ7992.

A320‑232 VH‑VQN was withdrawn from service on October 6 after operating JQ769 from Adelaide to Melbourne.

On October 7 as flight JQ7991 VH‑VQN ferried from Melbourne to Darwin and Seletar for end of lease maintenance.

VH‑VQN was delivered to Newcastle on November 22 ’05 after it ferried in from Toulouse via Dubai, Phuket and Darwin as JQ7990. It entered service on November 28 ’05 when it operated JQ710 from Sydney to Hamilton Island.

A320‑232 VH‑VQV was withdrawn from service on September 21 after operating JQ769 from Adelaide to Melbourne. On September 22 VH‑VQV as flight JQ7991 ferried from Melbourne to Darwin and Seletar (arriving September 23) for end of lease maintenance.

VH‑VQV was delivered to Jetstar in Newcastle on December 20 ’04 after it ferried in from Toulouse via Dubai, Phuket and Darwin as JQ7990. It entered service on January 5 ’05 operating JQ176 fromSydney to Coolangatta.

A321‑231 VH‑VWZ ferried out of Sydney on October 31 as JQ7995 to Darwin and Singapore for planned maintenance.

Jetstar registered 787‑8 VH‑VKB msn 36228 on October 15 and 787‑8 VH‑VKD msn 36229 on October 24.

Jetstar Asia took delivery of A320‑232 9V‑JSV msn 5813 in Singapore on October 26 after the aircraft ferried in from Toulouse via Abu Dhabi as JSA9.

Jetstar Hong Kong’s first A320‑232/S F‑WWBV msn 5532, which was the prospective B‑KJA, made its initial flight on February 14. However, with no resolution on a start‑up date for the airline the A320‑232/S was parked at Toulouse.

F‑WWBV was then allocated to Jetstar Australia to whom it was registered VH‑VFT before being delivered to Melbourne on October 13.

Jetstar Hong Kong currently has the following A320‑232/Ss parked at Toulouse: F‑WWDI msn 5685, which is the prospective B‑KJB was first flown on July 2; F‑WWBF msn 5725 (B‑KJC) was first flown on August 5; and F‑WWDQ msn 5738 (B‑KJD) was first flown on August 21. By the time this is read they will have been joined by F‑WWIF (B‑KJE) msn 5835; F‑WWBP (B‑KJF) msn 5850; and F‑WWBX (B‑KJG) msn 5853.

Jetstar Japan took delivery of A320‑232/S JA18JJ in Narita on October 12 after the aircraft ferried in from Toulouse via Abu Dhabi and Hanoi.

A320‑232/S msn 5885 has been allocated to Jetstar Japan.

Network Aviation ferried Fokker 100 VH‑NHO from Perth to Seletar on August 8 for planned maintenance and had the aircraft return to Perth from Seletar via Denpasar and Port Hedland on October 15.

In this issue we report the delivery of an A330‑200 to Air Pacific and the departure of a 767‑300ER of Air Niugini, a 737‑300 of Air New Zealand and a 737‑300 of Our Airline.

Air New Zealand was planning to take delivery of A320‑232/S ZK‑OXC msn 5847 in late November.

737‑3U3 ZK‑SJC, which was withdrawn from service on June 3 (Traffic/July) and then placed in storage at Christchurch, has been sold to an operator in SouthAmerica. With its Air New Zealand titles and koru removed ZK‑SJC departed Christchurch on October 7 for Apia, Honolulu, Van Nuys and Opa Locka, Florida.

737‑3K2 ZK‑NGM, which was withdrawn from service on July 18 and then placed in storage (Traffic/ September), has been sold in Africa.

It was test flown at Christchurch on November 1 in preparation for its ferry to the US.

Air New Zealand Link/Mount Cook was planning to take delivery of ATR 72‑600 ZK‑MVD msn 1117 in mid‑November.

Air Niugini ferried Fokker 100 PH‑OFP msn 11472 from Woensdrecht to Seletar between October 11 and 14. After planned maintenance at Seletar and painting at Subang the Fokker 100 as P2‑ANJ will be delivered to Port Moresby in early December.

Air Niugini has terminated its lease on 767‑366ER P2‑ANA, withdrawing it from service on October 31 after it operated PX393/30 from Singapore to Port Moresby. P2‑ANA ferried out of Port Moresby on November 1 for Honolulu and Crestview, Florida where it is understood the aircraft will be reduced to spares.

P2‑ANA was delivered to Air Niugini in Port Moresby on April 28 ’08 after it ferried in from Keflavik via Sharjah and Singapore.

Air Niugini Cargo ATR 42‑320F P2‑PXY was badly damaged at Madang on October 19 when on departure to Tabubil it ran off the end of the runway and finished up in a creek.

Air Pacific took delivery of A330‑243 DQ‑FJV msn 1465 Island of Yasawa-i-Rara at Nadi on November 6 after the aircraft ferried in from Toulouse and Hong Kong as FJI2332.

747‑412 DQ‑FJK, which is the last of type in the Air Pacific fleet, was planned to be withdrawn from service in mid‑November.

Alliance has donated Fokker 100 VH‑FKL to Aviation Australia and on October 8 it was noted parked at that facility at Brisbane airport. VH‑FKL was delivered to Alliance in Brisbane as N895US on September 11 ’07. However, the aircraft, which carried US Airways colours, never entered service with Alliance.

Our Airline placed 737‑36N VH‑PNI into service on October 6 when it operated flight RON2 from Brisbane to Nauru. VH‑PNI, then registered N325MS, was delivered to Melbourne on March 16 (Traffic/ May).

737‑33A VH‑NLK was withdrawn from service in Darwin on October 12 after operating ON901/11 from Christmas Island. VH‑NLK as ON800 departed Darwin on October 13 for Subang and end of lease maintenance.

VH‑NLK was delivered to Melbourne on November 15 ’08 and entered service with Our Airline on December 26 ’08 when it operated IE701 from Brisbane to Honiara and Nauru.

Tasman Cargo Airlines rolled out 757‑236F VH‑TCA at Auckland on October with the aircraft carrying special decals Official Logistics Partner – Rugby World Cup 2015.

Virgin Group news

Virgin Australia ferried E‑190‑100LR VH‑ZPC into Brisbane on October 16 as VOZ9502 from Kuala Lumpur and Darwin on completion of planned maintenance in Alverca, Portugal. While VH‑ZPC was under maintenance it was painted in the colours of Virgin Australia and named Cabarita Beach.

E‑190‑100LR VH‑ZPD asVOZ9501 departed Brisbane on October 17 for Darwin and enroute stops to Alverca.

737‑7BK VH‑VBV, which terminated its lease on August 27 (Traffic/November), has in turn been leased to Airzena Georgian Airways.

Now registered 4L‑TGN, it departed Kuala Lumpur on October 17 for Ashgabat, Turkmenistan and Tbilisi, Georgia.

777‑3ZGER VH‑VPH departed Brisbane for Singapore, where it is undergoing planned maintenance, as VOZ9940 on November 4.

Virgin Australia Regional Airlines A320‑231 VH‑FNP, which carried the colours of Skywest Airlines, departed Perth on September 14 for Seletar and planned maintenance. While in Seletar VH‑FNP was painted in the colours of Virgin Australia and named Honeymoon Cove. VH‑FNP as flight VOZ9994 returned to Perth from Seletar in the early hours of October 31.

ATR 72‑600 VH‑VPI Bronte Beach, which was delivered to Perth from Halim on September 17 (Traffic/November), continued its ferry when it departed Perth direct to Townsville as VOZ9952 on November 6.

Air Loyalite ferried King Air B200 F‑HLON into Noumea on October 17 from Seletar via Halim, Denpasar, Darwin and Cairns.

Air Vanuatu took delivery of DHC‑6‑300 N564DH msn 564 at Port Vila on October 18 after the aircraft ferried in from McMinnville, Oregon via Kahului, Honolulu and Majuro. N564DH, which was registered to Bald Mountain Air Service of Homer, Alaska was ferried across the Pacific by Southern Cross as SXA1086.

Brindabella Airlines took delivery of Jetstream 41 VH‑XNF on August 3 (Traffic/November) and placed the aircraft into service on October 10 when it operated flight FQ/285 from Sydney to Moree.

Jetstream 41 VH‑XNE, which was delivered to Canberra on June 23 (Traffic/August), entered service on August 23 when it operated FQ507 from Sydney to Newcastle.

Metro III VH‑OZV was withdrawn from service on September 5 after operating FQ322 from Cobar to Sydney and later the same day it was ferried from Sydney to Canberra.

Metro III VH‑TAM was withdrawn from service on July 22 after operating FQ202 from Narrabri to Sydney.

VH‑TAM remained in Sydney until October 10 when it was ferried to Canberra.

Cape Flattery Silica Mines, which took delivery of Cessna 208B/EX N8152S at Cairns on October 1 (Traffic/November), registered the aircraft VH‑CZF on October 29.

Milford Sound Flights registered GippsAero GA8 Airvan ZK‑ZQN on November 1. The Airvan then registered VH‑ARZ had arrived at Kerikeri on October 29 after crossing the Tasman from the Gold Coast via Lord Howe Island and Norfolk Island.

Niugini Aviation ferried PAC 750XL P2‑KNA out of Port Moresby on November 2 to Hamilton, New Zealand where it arrived on November 7 via Cairns, Mackay, Toowoomba, Lord Howe Island, Norfolk Island and Auckland.

Niugini Aviation PAC 750XL P2‑RNB was noted at Hamilton, New Zealand on October 10.

DHC‑6‑300 N564DH msn 564, which was registered to Bald Mountain Air Service of Homer, Alaska departed McMinnville, Oregon for Kahului on October 12 with the aircraft reported to be on delivery to an operator in Vanuatu.

In this issue we report the delivery of a Beechjet 400A and a Hawker 800, while bizprop deliveries comprised a Mitsubishi MU‑2B‑36 and three PC‑12/47Es.

Asia Pacific Jets Beechjet 400A N868JL arrived at Essendon from Seletar and Port Hedland on October 20 and during its planned maintenance at Essendon was registered VH‑OVS. Although built as a Beechjet 400A, VH‑OVS was later converted by Nextant Aerospace to a 400XT.

Airmed International Hawker 800 N838JL arrived at Essendon from Seletar and Port Hedland on August 28 for planned maintenance.

During its stay the Airmed International titles were removed and the aircraft was placed on the Australian register.

Asia Pacific Jets Hawker 800XP VH‑OVE departed Essendon on October 10 for its Seletar base after completing its planned maintenance.

While at Essendon the Hawker had the APJ (Asia Pacific Jets) logo placed on its tail.

Citation CJ3 ZK‑TBM departed Christchurch for Canberra and Bankstown on September 3 and on October 7 it was cancelled from the New Zealand register as ‘exported’. It is reported the CJ3 will be operated by Tropicair as P2‑MEH.

Mackellar Mining Citation Ultra VH‑SJP changed its registration to VH‑MMC on October 30.

Learjet 24D N174RD, which has been a resident at Camden for a number of years, was cancelled from the US register on August 19 ’10 as ‘exported to Australia’. The Learjet was never placed on the local register and on September 23 ’13 N174RD returned to the US register with the registered owner being a resident of Cobbitty, NSW.

Learjet 45 VH‑SQR changed its registered holder to EJ Capital Zurich of Zurich, Switzerland on September 25.

ExecuJet New Zealand Gulfstream 650 ZK‑KFB, which was delivered to Wellington on October 5 (Traffic/November), has made its first visit to Australia. On October 28 it departed Wellington for Sydney before continuing to Essendon on October 30.

Sovereign N680VP msn 680‑0012 arrived at Bankstown on October 2 after crossing the Pacific from Hayward, California via Honolulu, Pago Pago, Nadi and Sydney. On October 7 it departed Bankstown for Maroochydore to take part in the RAAA convention.

In propjet news MU‑2B‑36 N425EW msn 696, which is registered to Adams Aviation Services of Wilmington, Delaware arrived at Essendon on October 27 from Seletar, Denpasar, Broome, Alice Springs and Mildura. The ferry flight had originated in Nashville on October 14 with N425EW initially routed via Montreal/St Hubert, Goose Bay, Narsarsuaq, Keflavik and Wick to Caen, France.

PC‑12/47E VH‑YDU msn 1410 was delivered to the Northern Territory Police in Darwin on October 18 after the aircraft ferried in from Seletar and Denpasar.

PC‑12/47E VH‑YDQ msn 1414 was delivered to the Northern Territory Police in Darwin on November 1 after the aircraft ferried in from Seletar and Darwin.

PC‑12/47E VH‑OWJ msn 1411 was delivered to the RFDS/WA in Jandakot on November 4 after the aircraft ferried in from Denpasar and Port Hedland.

EWS 11 Gulfstream 550 N235DX arrived at Melbourne from Auckland in the early hours of October 20 before moving to Essendon later that morning. N235DX was later noted at Sydney, Brisbane Adelaide and Perth.

John Deere Gulfstream 550 N550JD arrived in Brisbane from Honolulu on October 3.

Metrojet Gulfstream 550 B‑KCK arrived in Brisbane from Hong Kong on October 8 and later visited Sydney and Mt Isa before departing Brisbane for Hong Kong on October 12.

Metrojet Gulfstream 550 B‑KGParrived at Adelaide from Tianjin on October 6 and departed to Hong Kong on October 8.

Metrojet Gulfstream 550 B‑LDL arrived in Sydney from Singapore on October 6 and after overnighting continued to the Gold Coast. B‑LDL returned to Sydney on October 8 and the following day departed for the Gold Coast and Cairns before again returning to Sydney. After overnighting it departed for Hong Kong.

Alpha Star Gulfstream 550 HZ‑A6 arrived in Sydney from Halim on October 26 before continuing to Perth on October 29. HZ‑A6 departed Perth for Halim on October 31.

Saab Gulfstream 550 SE‑RKL arrived in Adelaide from Halim on October 3 and after overnighting continued to Sydney. SE‑RKL, which is the former ZK‑KFB, departed Sydney for Don Muang on October 8.

Jet Aviation Gulfstream V B‑HVP arrived in Melbourne from Incheon on October 28 before continuing to Cairns on October 31.

US Navy C‑37A/Gulfstream V 166375 callsign ‘VV375’ arrived in Sydney from Atsugi NAS on October 6 and departed to Honolulu on October 9. The C‑37A later arrived in Canberra from Honolulu on October 30.

IT Aviation Gulfstream 450 N7GF arrived at the Gold Coast from Nadi on October 26.

Swiss Jet Gulfstream 450 HB‑JUS, which was operating as SJT252, arrived in Sydney from Singapore on October 19. HB‑JUS remained in Sydney until November 6 when it departed for Singapore.

US Navy C‑20G/Gulfstream IV 165153 callsign ‘Ghost 53’ arrived in Canberra from Pago Pago on October 3 and after overnighting continued to Sydney. The C‑20G departed Sydney for Darwin on October 8 and Darwin for Kwajalein on October 9.

Dutch air force Gulfstream IV V‑11 callsign ‘NAF 11’ arrived in Canberra from Male and Port Hedland on October 1. On October 3 it departed for Newcastle before continuing to Sydney on October 4. The Gulfstream then departed Sydney for Port Hedland and Male on October 6.

Majestic Equipment Services Gulfstream 200 N889MR arrived in Cairns from Port Vila and Gurney on October 31.

Dedalus Global 6000 PP‑GUL arrived at Melbourne from Johannesburg on October 13 before continuing to Hobart on October 17 and Sydney on October 18. It departed Sydney for Papeete on October 19.

EWA West Global Express N90EW arrived in Melbourne from Kona on October 15 before departing for Bankstown and Sydney on the 17th. It departed for Singapore on October 20.

Diamond Resort Global Express N702DR arrived in Melbourne from Hong Kong on October 17 and after overnighting continued to Maroochydore. On October 19 it departed Maroochydore for Brisbane and Honolulu.

Air Tractor AT‑802A N1001H msn 802A‑527, which was on delivery to Aerotech, arrived at the Gold Coast on October 10 after its trans‑Pacific crossing from Santa Maria, California via Honolulu, Majuro and Honiara. N1001H which was being ferried by SRD Aviation later continued to Albury and Parafield where it arrived on October 14.

Conair Air Tractors AT‑802A C‑GBPY/98 and AT‑802 C‑GYBX/89 arrived at Ballarat on November 4 after their trans‑Pacific ferry from Santa Maria, California via Hilo, Majuro, Honiara and the Gold Coast. They will be operated by Field Air as VH‑FFB and VH‑FFM respectively during the 2013/14 bushfire season.

East‑West Transportation Bell 214B‑1 C‑FXNI, which was noted at Bankstown on October 19 will be operated by McDermott Aviation in Western Australia during the bushfire season.

Bell UH‑1B N1386L was noted at Moorabbin on October 12 with the aircraft to be operated in Tasmania during the bushfire season.

Wildcat Helicopters Bell 412SP C‑FWTK, Bell 412SP C‑FWTQ and Bell 41SP C‑GBND were noted at Camden in late October being prepared for bushfire operations.

Cessna 208B/EX N506EX departed Toowoomba for Charleville and Alice Springs on October 24 and after overnighting continued to Broome and Denpasar.

Cessna T206H ZK‑NOK arrived at Kerikeri on October 29 after ferrying in from Bankstown via Lord Howe Island and Norfolk Island.

Flight Design CTLS ZK‑FDC arrived at the Gold Coast on October 22 after crossing the Tasman from Kerikeri via Norfolk Island and Lord Howe Island.

GippsAero GA8 Airvan VH‑XHA departed Darwin for Kupang on October 9 while en‑route to Singapore from where it later commenced a demonstration tour of SE Asia.

PAC 750XL ZK‑KCG msn 186, which is fitted with a jump door, departed Hamilton on October 19 for Kerikeri, Norfolk Island, Lord Howe Island the Gold Coast. The 750XL,which was on delivery to Skydive Moscow, later departed Darwin for Denpasar on October 30.

PAC 750XL ZK‑KCK msn 189 departed Hamilton for Norfolk Island on October 12 and was later noted at Lord Howe Island, Gold Coast, Emerald and Cairns before departing Horn Island for Sentani on October 17. The 750XL, which was on delivery to Sayap Triwa Mandiri was later registered PK‑KSD.

Kiwi Air PAC 750XL ZK‑FNZ departed Auckland on November 2 for Lord Howe Island and Port Macquarie. It later continued to Mt Isa and Darwin where it arrived on November 4.

PA‑23‑250F N232KP arrived at Mackay from Coffs Harbour on October 14 and later departed Broome for Denpasar on October 18. N232KP was noted earlier this year when it arrived at Essendon from Wedderburn on March 1.

PA‑28‑180 G‑ATYS, which was operating the Cherokee Challenge Flight from London to Sydney, arrived at Darwin on November 1 from Denpasar and Kupang. After overnighting the Cherokee departed for Tindal and Alice Springs.

A group of aircraft on a round‑the‑world flight visited northern Australia in this period. Some of the group arrived in Cairns from Noumea on October 3 while the whole group departed Broome for Denpasar on October 13. Antonov Airlines An‑124‑100M‑150 UR‑82009 as flight ADB1203 arrived in Sydney from Johor Baru and Perth on October 10. At Sydney the Antonov unloaded Erickson S‑64E N957AC/738 Ichabod and S‑64E N189AC Gypsy Lady. The Antonov as flight ADB142F then departed for Kuala Lumpur on October 11.

Antonov Airlines An‑124 UR‑82027 as flight ADB178F arrived in Perth from Kuala Lumpur on October 4 and departed for Singapore as ADB1118 on October 6.

Nippon Cargo 747‑4KZF JA08KZ as flight NCA623 arrived at Avalon from Narita on October 21. After loading bikes that had taken part in the Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island, it returned early the next morning to Narita as NCA6162.

Nippon Cargo 747‑481F JA01KZ as flight NCA625 arrived at Avalon from Narita on October 21 before returning there later the same day as NCA6164.
