Coming Of Age?

Defence is confident the MRH 90 is maturing and overcoming teething problems

After a series of delays in the last few years, the Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO) is confident the MRH 90 will successfully mature into a capable product as Army and Navy retire the venerable Black Hawk and Sea King fleets.

After a pause in new deliveries in early 2012, the DMO has now accepted 18 aircraft, the last five of which have been in the Product Baseline Three (PBL3) configuration, the mature configuration. Australia will become the first MRH 90/NH90 operator in the mature configuration.
