Malaysia Airlines has announced that it will operate a second daily service between Kuala Lumpur and Sydney from November 1.
The new service, which is scheduled to be operated by a Boeing 777-200, will depart daily from Kuala Lumpur at 0900, arriving into Sydney at 1955, while the return service departs at 2155 from Sydney and arrives at 0320 the following morning. MAS also operates a daily Boeing 747-400 service to and from Sydney.

“To date, we have seen a 17 per cent increase in the number of customers from Sydney travelling to Kuala Lumpur,” said Ignatius Ong, the airline’s regional SVP Australia, New Zealand and South West Pacific. “In line with the increase in demand, we are pleased to offer double daily flights. As a network carrier, we have timed our flights to enable passengers arriving in KL to connect easily to Europe and other destinations.”
