Super Super Hornet?
Boeing’s Super Hornet roadmap
Boeing has revealed it is developing a range of enhancements for the Super Hornet as part of a strategy to remain in the fighter business that has also seen it develop improvements for its evergreen F-15.
Boeing announced its evolved Super Hornet improvements at the Farnborough Airshow in July, which could see the jet gain conformal fuel tanks, more powerful engines, an advanced cockpit and a weapons pod as part of a plan to keep the air-craft in production and relevant to the export fighter market beyond the jet’s current produc-tion plan for the US Navy and RAAF.
