The prototype Embraer R-99A (EMB-145SA) airborne early warning and control aircraft, PP-XSA, had its first flight from San Jose dos Campos on May 22. The Brazilian Air Force and Greek Air Force have placed orders for five and four examples respectively of this variant of the RJ-145 regional jet. On May 28 the aircraft was officially unveiled with the temporary EMB-145 AEW&C fuselage titles removed and now carrying Brazilian Air Force markings as R-99A FAB-6702.
On May 25 the first example of the Airbus A319CJ Airbus Corporate jetliner, the A319-133X, D-AVYB, had its first flight from Hamburg/Finkenwerder.
