Issue 9: Tankers for the RAAF?
Australian Aviation & Defence Review was first published as an Annual in 1977 and again in 1978. AADR then went Quarterly, with the first quarterly edition appearing in June 1979. AADR is published in the first week of March, June, September and December each year and covers the entire spectrum of aviation in Australia. Subscriptions are available at $12 per annum or $22 for two years.
FRONT COVER: Eric Allen captures a dual-seat Mirage 1110 returning from a training sortie (Eric was also responsible for our spectacular June A-4G cover) as a symbolic gesture to this great aircraft. Following a decade of speculation, the choice of a New Tactical Fighter has been decided. It will provide the front line of our air defence through to the twenty-first century.
