The RAAF’s second Airbus Military KC-30A tanker has arrived in Australia, touching down at RAAF Amberley on June 18 before being formally handed over yesterday (June 22).
The arrival of the second fully completed KC-30A (A39-002) follows the delivery of the RAAF’s first aircraft on May 30.

All five KC-30As will eventually serve with 33 Squadron, restoring a much-needed aerial refuelling capability that was lost with the retirement of the RAAF’s Boeing 707 tankers in June 2008.
