Late last year, young autistic pilot Hayden McDonald of Wings Without Barriers set off on a solo circumnavigation in a Jabiru J120 of Australia to educate people around the country about neurodiversity.
Facing poor weather, bushfire smoke, mechanical problems, delays, and long flights over “tiger country”, Hayden nonetheless completed his three-month, 8,000-nautical-mile journey in December.
On the way, he visited every mainland state plus the Northern Territory, speaking and presenting in more than 20 towns.
In this exclusive Premium Podcast, Hayden caught up with Australian Aviation to share his incredible tale – and talk about what comes next.
