CH-47D Chinook A15-202, also known as “Centaur” or “Good as Gold”, was one of the first two Australian Chinooks deployed to Afghanistan in 2006.

Now fully operational, the A320 simulator enhances Flight Options’ advanced pilot and flight instructor training programs.

The terminal, which opened to the public on 5 September 1995, replaced an interim “tin shed” building that had served as the international terminal for around 20 years. It now has 19 aerobridges servicing 26 airlines to 35 direct destinations, and is undergoing a major renovation.

Chaired by Minister for Defence Industry, Pat Conroy, the meeting reviewed progress on a remediation plan developed to address long-running delays and performance issues with the multibillion-dollar project. The summit follows the previous gathering in November 2024.
